So what is gel plate printing? Its a way of making monoprints (ie one off prints) from a gelatine based surface. The plate feels like a fairly solid slab of jelly, and plates can either be made from gelatine or can be purchased commercially ready made.
The gel plate releases the paint beautifully and there are loads of different printing techniques that can be used.
The pictures shown are prints made with various mark making techniques, taken from the first three workshops (Techniques, Nature, and Textiles).
I now have a 5 separate one day Gel plate mono printing workshops. they are numbered for convenience but can be taken in any order and are all suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have done a little gel plate printing but would like a refresher.
