About Me

Janina at work

I love drawing, painting, printing and making things and most days I can be found in my lovely studio in the garden with Radio 4 burbling away in the background.

During lockdown I rediscovered the enjoyment of drawing and painting buildings, and have steadily been working my way around my local high street in Caversham. Fast forward to 2024 and I have painted about 250 buildings including pubs, cafes, churches and lots of commissions, have published a book and have produced several calendars.

I still enjoy making handmade sketchbooks and journals which I sell at craft fairs, markets, and arts trails.

My third area of artistic interest is monoprinting with the gel plate and now have a towering heap of prints waiting to be used in collage works and similar projects.

The teaching calendar is pretty full with a mix of these three - painting, bookbinding and gel plate printing. Some workshops are face to face and some are on line, so you don't even have to leave your home!

I have an occasional newsletter which goes out from time to time so if you would like to subscribe and keep up to date with events please follow this link.
